At first I felt cheated. I only ordered it this early to take advantage of getting the one with bloomers. But low and behold, it arrived last night with out bloomers. It is made of 100% polyester and it not itchy at all. So in the long run, I think we will get more use out of it because Kaitlin will want to wear it. They are huge. I would definitely say they run large. It is a lighter material than I would have thought. I guess early spring and fall rather than winter type night gown. It is very pretty and feminine. Sure to delight any little gir, I rate this an A.

lieu, I want to know what nightgown you got...I'd gladly give mine with bloomers for one that sounds as nice as yours. Our Samantha's girls size pj is definately a heavy, winter type, staticy, attract every pet hair in a 5 mi radius, woven polyester. Sounds like the one you got is what I was expecting...are they changing this item? I am taking ours back to AGP with me when I go this summer...

Candie, there was a thread on AGE a couple of weeks ago saying they are changing to this light weight fabric polyster with out bloomer. But the internet site still listed with bloomers. So I thought I was getting the older version. If your is brand new, you can return it or even exchange it for the newer version. They got a lot of complaints that the older version was itchy. The bloomers did sound cute though.

The bloomers were cute but my DD put them on once and would never again. I wish I would have gotten the one you got, it might get a lot more wear than the one that we have.

that is what I figured. At least Kaitlin will wear it and for $38, I hope to see it get worn more than just a few times.

Do you think you got a newer version of the nightgown with better fabric? Is it the kind of brushed polyester that will be all full of static if you dry it in the dryer?

Judi, I have no idea how it will wash and dry. Is there a way to tell by looking at it. It does feel nice and comfortable. Not itchy. I don't want to wash and dry it just yet because it will be years before Kaitlin can wear it.

Your daughter is probably too young to have worn this certain kind of pajama or nightgown that just seems to wash and dry badly getting wrinkly and staticy. I have experienced it in Barbie nightgowns (the kind that come with the matching doll nightgown attached), Minnie Mouse nightgowns from Disney World and some other PJs. I think it has something to do with the flame retardancy. I have had this problem with some PJs regardless of the price of the sleepwear.
